The General Accounting Specialist prepares journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. Performs month-end closing tasks with coordination to other Finance sections for the completion of posting transactions and analysis thereof.

The main responsibilities of a GENERAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST include:

  • Analyze different general ledger accounts regularly.
  • Supervise all regular accounting processes plus monthly closure accounts.
  • Organize all company financial programs and ensure compliance to budgetary requirements.
  • Supervise and ensure efficient working of all financial transactions in organization.
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany transactions every month.
  • Assist Financial Analysts in department account reconciliation process on monthly basis.
  • Analyze revenue and expense variances month on month.
  • Proper tagging and reclassification of dimensions or cost centers.
  • Administer all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly thru bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare journal entries and synthesize common ledger for subsidiary accounts.
  • Coordinates with other section for closing task compliance monitoring
  • Prepares of adhoc financial reports and analysis
  • Provide support to auxiliary schedules for auditing purposes as per assigned work.
  • Coordinates directly with the Senior and Associate Auditors with their concerns
  • Design and prepare audit schedules for external audit processors.
  • Prepares or drafts Financial Statement with the finalized working trial balance.
  • Completion of other adhoc tasks as may assigned by superior or requested by other departments
  • Timely filing of reports to BIR SEC and PEZA

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in any Business Course
  • 2-3 years in the field of General Accounting or related work scope
  • MS Office Programs proficient especially Excel
