REVENUE ACCOUNTING - ASSOCIATE (APPCONNECT)

Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations focused on revenue and related accounts. 

Core Responsibilities

·         Prepare and maintain monthly close schedule 

·         Perform monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis

·         Assist the accounting team through successful annual financial audits

·         Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and flux reviews

·         Ad hoc projects, as deemed necessary 

·         Work collaboratively with Billing, Customer Success, Sales, AP, & Sales Operations 

·         Must understand gross vs net accounting principles under ASC 606

·         Calculating outgoing payments to vendors based on agreed-upon revenue share 

·         Properly record vendor liabilities related to transactions being recorded on a net basis

Qualifications

·         Familiarity with ASC 606 principles and revenue recognition standards 

·         Degree in accounting

·         Strong problem solving, attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Strong Microsoft Excel skills 

·         Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus

·         Proactive mindset, team player.

·         Demonstrated experience with monthly and quarterly close

·         Proactive, independent, accountable, and responsible – must be eager to drive best practices, initiatives, and continuous process improvement

·         Understanding of SaaS accounting principles
