NerdWallet is seeking a driven Senior Tax Analyst to join our team focused on assisting in all
aspects of the company’s tax duties, especially on the indirect tax areas. This position will work
alongside the Director of Tax and the Tax Manager as part of NerdWallet’s internal tax team. The successful candidate will assist in the company’s tax functions, which includes performing month-end tax account reconciliation and assisting with indirect tax, etc. The Senior Tax Analyst will bring his/her experience and attention to detail to NerdWallet to help build a strong
foundation for future growth and scale.

The main responsibilities of a SENIOR TAX ANALYST include:

● Prepare and file indirect tax filings such as: Ohio CAT, Oregon CAT, New York CRT, San Francisco Business Tax, Washington B&O, New Mexico GRT, Delaware franchise
tax, and property tax
● Prepare various month-close journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for nonincome tax accounts
● Assist with state tax notices
● Manage any indirect tax related audits
● Conduct research for non-income tax related nexus studies to ensure Nerdwallet is in
compliance for all indirect tax filings
● Manage global indirect tax compliance including but not limited to any US sales and use
tax and foreign GST/HST taxes
● Prepare quarterly transfer pricing journal entries
● Other special projects assigned to support the tax team

● 3 years minimum full-time experience in tax related work (public accounting or corporate
