The Specialist - Accounting performs core accounting functions including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support. The role ensures accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting policies, and timely completion of assigned accounting processes, typically under the guidance of senior staff.

The main responsibilities of a ACCOUNTANT III include:
- Journal Entries and General Ledger
- Prepare and post routine journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications)
- Maintain assigned general ledger accounts
- Ensure transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified
- Assist in identifying and correcting posting errors
- Account Reconciliation
- Perform regular account reconciliations (e.g., cash, receivables, payables, expenses)
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies
- Ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior staff
- Financial Reporting Support
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Compile schedules and supporting data for financial statement preparation
- Provide basic variance explanations based on assigned accounts
- Ensure completeness and consistency of submitted data
- Compliance and Documentation
- Follow established accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation
- Support internal control practices (e.g., approvals, documentation standards)
- Assist in compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS or government rules)
- Audit Support
- Prepare and organize supporting documents for audits
- Respond to audit requests for assigned areas
- Assist in addressing audit findings and action items
- Coordination with Other Functions
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and other units
- Verify transaction details and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders
- Support data consistency across systems and reports
- Process Execution and Improvement
- Execute standard accounting processes based on documented SOPs
- Suggest improvements to workflows and templates
- Assist in implementation of process enhancements or system updates
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Knowledge of basic to intermediate accounting principles and standards (GAAP/IFRS)
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite
- Familiarity with internal controls and audit procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple routine tasks efficiently
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow structured processes
- Willingness to learn and improve processes
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Deadline-oriented
It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or related field
- CPA license – preferred
- 5-7 years in the field of General Accounting or related work scope
- MS Office Programs proficient especially Excel
- Exposure in journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, financial reporting and accounts receivable/payable processes
- Experience in US healthcare – preferred
