Make your next big career move by applying as KMC Solutions’ next DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER
VTG provides B2B technology services to commercial and institutional customers. We are building our marketing practice and capacity to support a complex portfolio, growing Sales team, and expanding partner relationships. Those customers include education (including E-Rate), public sector, and government organizations, and a core growth priority is expanding relationships with existing customers across our full portfolio.
To that end, VTG seeks a Digital Marketing Manager: a hands-on individual contributor who will generate qualified demand for our Sales team by planning and executing digital campaigns, improve websites and conversion, and build reliable operations and measurement, as described below.
This role will operate under the guidance of the VTG fractional Chief Marketing Officer (fCMO), who sets strategy, priorities, and budgets, with business guidance and pipeline targets from the VTG Chief Revenue Officer, to whom the role also reports results directly.
It will work closely with Sales leaders and representatives, Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Revenue Operations, the Marketing Program Manager, and external partners as described below.
On top of your salary, here are the exciting benefits you can look forward to:
What success looks like
- Marketing-sourced leads, MQLs, and pipeline meet agreed monthly targets, with conversion tracked through each funnel stage in Salesforce.
- MQLs reach SDRs within the agreed speed-to-lead standard, and Sales accepts most of them as qualified.
- Paid spend is paced to plan, with cost per lead and pipeline return reported monthly.
- Digital campaigns launch correctly, with working links, forms, tracking, approvals, and Sales handoffs.
- Campaign reports explain performance and lead to useful decisions and measurable improvements.
- Data and operational problems are identified, resolved, or escalated promptly; core processes become more repeatable.
- Website and campaign changes improve the agreed customer journey and outcomes while respecting budget and approval limits.
- The marketing automation platform is implemented, connected to Salesforce with Revenue Operations, and in regular use for campaigns.
- Within the first 90 days: tracking and lead routing are verified end to end, an always-on demand campaign is live, and a recurring funnel report is in place with Revenue Operations.
The main responsibilities of a DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER include:
Plan and execute digital campaigns
- Develop practical digital channel plans with the fCMO and the Marketing Program Manager, covering audiences, tactics, assets, timing, tracking, and measures of success.
- Build, test, launch, and manage Marketing-led email campaigns, outreach sequences, landing pages, and approved digital promotions. Plan, launch, and manage paid search and paid social campaigns (Google, including YouTube, and LinkedIn) within approved budgets, owning pacing, cost per lead, and the evidence to scale or cut spend.
- Recommend audience segments, channel choices, tests, and improvements within the agreed business objective and budget; surface decisions required before launch.
- Coordinate campaign copy and creative with the Marketing Program Manager, who leads program planning, content development, stakeholder coordination, and delivery; produce routine digital assets where practical, and maintain launch checklists and approval records.
- Build and maintain target account and contact lists, in coordination with Revenue Operations in Apollo and Salesforce, that feed Marketing campaigns and SDR outreach sequences.
- Run digital programs to existing customers that introduce additional VTG services, using customer and offering data to target cross-sell opportunities with account owners.
Improve websites and conversion
- Maintain and improve website content, landing pages, forms, and customer journeys using approved messaging and brand standards. Route campaign content and significant website changes through internal review before publication.
- Apply practical SEO, usability, and conversion practices; identify technical issues and coordinate changes with the accountable internal owner.
- Test page, form, email, and campaign variations; turn findings into specific, actionable improvements.
- Apply VTG brand standards consistently across all digital channels, and support consolidation of legacy websites and social media accounts under the VTG brand.
Build reliable operations and measurement
- Operate and improve VTG’s marketing tools, including Webflow and analytics tools. Help evaluate, select, and implement a new marketing automation platform, then use it as the primary system for email, nurture, and campaign execution. Work with Revenue Operations, which owns Salesforce and Apollo, and use those systems within approved access. Coordinate approved vendors on platforms, digital assets, technical support, and campaign delivery; budgets, new tools, and outside support require the fCMO’s approval before commitments are made.
- Maintain audience and contact data, segmentation, suppression, campaign tracking, and lead handoffs. Work with Sales on lead quality and follow-up, and with Revenue Operations and other system owners to resolve data and routing failures. Co-own with Sales and Revenue Operations the definitions of marketing-qualified and sales-qualified leads, and the speed-to-lead and routing standards for handing leads to SDRs.
- Identify gaps in tracking, automation, reporting, and campaign processes; propose improvements and implement agreed changes with the relevant owners.
- Report campaign and channel results against agreed objectives and definitions, explain what the evidence supports, and recommend the next action. Partner with Revenue Operations on CRM data, lead routing, attribution, and funnel reporting so Marketing and Sales can assess results together.
- Document repeatable processes so another team member can understand, support, and continue the work.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Demonstrated hands-on ownership of digital campaigns from planning and build through launch, measurement, testing, and improvement.
- Proven results generating B2B demand against lead, MQL, and pipeline targets, working alongside SDR or BDR teams.
- Hands-on paid search and paid social experience (Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads preferred), including budget pacing and cost-per-lead optimization.
- Strong practical experience with email marketing, websites and landing pages, audience segmentation, campaign tracking, analytics, and conversion improvement.
- Working knowledge of CRM and marketing data, list quality, campaign attribution, and lead handoffs; ability to explain your own configuration and troubleshooting work.
- Hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform, ideally including helping implement or migrate one, and working familiarity with CRM, outreach, CMS, and analytics tools. Salesforce, Apollo, Webflow, and Google Analytics experience is useful.
- Strong spreadsheet, analytical, QA, documentation, and project management skills.
- B2B marketing experience, preferably with technology, IT services, SaaS, or similarly complex offerings; experience marketing to education (including E-Rate), public sector, or government buyers is a plus; clear written and spoken English.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain reliable overlap with U.S. business hours for collaboration, launches, and issue resolution.
It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:
