We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Shared Services Manager to lead and oversee the organization's Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who combines strong people management capabilities with deep operational expertise. The successful candidate will be actively involved in day-to-day finance operations while driving process improvement, strengthening internal controls, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the development of a high-performing finance team.

The Finance Shared Services Manager will work closely with stakeholders across locations and functions, making strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management essential to success in this role.

The main responsibilities of a FINANCE SHARED SERVICES MANAGER/ FINANCE MANAGER include:

Finance Operations

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations.
  • Ensure finance processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor day-to-day finance operations and proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Support effective collections and AR processes, including the use of relevant systems and reporting.
  • Oversee finance processes related to procurement, vendor onboarding, and internal controls.
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls and operational procedures are consistently followed.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop finance team members.
  • Provide clear direction, performance guidance, and ongoing support to the team.
  • Build a collaborative and accountable team culture.
  • Effectively manage distributed, offshore, or multi-location teams.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement and process automation initiatives.
  • Support system integrations and enhancements that improve finance operations.
  • Develop and strengthen internal control frameworks.
  • Drive standardization and best practices across finance shared services operations.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and monitor finance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Provide relevant operational insights to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial and operational matters clearly and effectively.
  • Support regional, multi-country, or geographically distributed finance operations where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance shared services, finance operations, or a similar environment.
  • Proven end-to-end experience managing both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
  • Previous people management and team leadership experience.
  • Experience managing distributed, offshore, or multi-location teams.
  • Strong background in process improvement, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and/or Business Central.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT).
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on "working manager" role, actively participating in day-to-day AR/AP operations rather than operating solely at a strategic level.

  • Willingness and ability to work Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT).
  • Comfortable in a hands-on "working manager" role, actively involved in day-to-day AR/AP operations rather than purely strategic leadership.

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or other professional accounting certification.Experience with Salesforce for collections and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or Business Central ERP systems.
  • Exposure to Australian finance environments and Australian statutory reporting requirements (e.g., Payment Times Reporting).Experience leading regional, multi-country, or geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong background in process automation, system integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience building or enhancing procurement, vendor onboarding, and internal control frameworks.
  • Advanced reporting, dashboard creation, and KPI management experience.
  • Shared Services, SSC, or Global Business Services (GBS) environment experience.U.S. GAAP or international accounting standards exposure
