The Head of Finance must be forward-looking and have the ability to apply his/her commercial and strategic sense to drive the business forward in coordination with the executive committee, with reporting line to the board of directors. He/she must have full responsibilities over Finance & Accounting department functions such as, but not limited to, overseeing the overall general accounting & budgeting, financial reporting/audit/analysis, general taxation and financial controls.
The main responsibilities of a HEAD OF FINANCE include:
- Provides leadership, direction and management of the key finance and accounting teams
- In charge of the capital management and budgeting process to improve, implement and maintain an efficient capital structure
- Oversees the company’s general accounting and taxation
- Creates strategic decisions to help the company achieve its potential
- Drives necessary forecasting and budgeting based on accounting data
- Develops performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company’s strategic direction
- Establishes and develops relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Manages financial forecasting, budgeting and treasury processes, risk management and compliance, and oversees the preparation of all financial and accounting reporting (including ERP system)
- Facilitates potential future corporate strategic transactions (e.g. fundraising, M&As) and due diligence exercises
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, any business course or equivalent work experience
- More than 10 years work experience in financial planning, reporting, and treasury
- More than 10 years solid leadership role in finance functions for medium to large enterprises with international exposure
- MBA degree, highly desired
- CPA, CFA or equivalent professional certification, highly desired
- Possesses strong commercial and strategic sense to be able to drive the business forward via providing leadership and insights to achieve and exceed business plan targets
- Forward-looking and providing strategic recommendations to the senior management team & shareholders
- Dynamic and hands-on individual with the ability to work in a fast-changing and entrepreneurial environment, being hands-on as required
- Well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from accounting to broad investment and banking operations
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result-orientation
