The HR Generalist is responsible for managing and supporting key Human Resources functions across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and talent acquisition, employee relations and disciplinary management, employee engagement and culture initiatives, and performance management. The role ensures efficient HR operations, promotes a positive and compliant workplace environment, and supports the consistent implementation of HR policies, programs, and processes aligned with organizational goals and labor regulations.

The main responsibilities of a HR GENERALIST include:

Key Responsibilities

I. HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR inquiries and concerns.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, transfers, employee movements, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Update HRIS and employee databases.
  • Ensure timely completion of HR administrative requirements.

II. Employee Relations Support

  • Handle routine employee concerns and HR inquiries.
  • Assist in addressing attendance, conduct, policy, and workplace concerns.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive employee relations matters to the HR Business Partner.
  • Support investigations and administrative hearings as directed.
  • Prepare notices, documentation, and case records.
  • Maintain confidential employee relations files.
  • Assist in conducting exit interviews and consolidating employee feedback.

III. Performance Management Administration

  • Coordinate the annual and periodic performance review cycles.
  • Monitor completion of performance evaluations.
  • Assist employees and managers with performance documentation.
  • Maintain performance records and trackers.
  • Monitor PIP timelines and documentation.
  • Consolidate performance data and prepare reports for HRBP review.
  • Coordinate calibration meetings and performance discussions.

IV. Employee Engagement & Wellbeing

  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, town halls, and employee events.
  • Maintain the employee engagement calendar.
  • Coordinate logistics, suppliers, venues, communications, and other event requirements.
  • Support CSR and employee volunteer activities.
  • Gather employee feedback and participation data.
  • Support employee wellbeing programs and communications.

V. Onboarding Support & Candidate Experience

  • Coordinate onboarding activities and employee orientation.
  • Ensure new hires complete required documentation and onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain onboarding trackers and employee records.

VI.  HR Compliance & Safety Support

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining HR compliance documentation.
  • Support employee safety orientations and workplace safety activities.
  • Maintain records related to incidents, safety activities, and employee welfare.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Safety Officers on employee-related safety requirements.
  • Assist during audits and inspections by preparing required HR documentation.

VII.  HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain headcount, attrition, absenteeism, attendance, and other HR trackers.
  • Prepare regular HR reports for HRBP and management review.
  • Gather and validate HR data.
  • Monitor trends and flag unusual movements or concerns.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, and HR reports.

VIII. Multi-Site HR Support

  • Provide HR administrative and employee support across assigned offices and locations.
  • Coordinate with site leaders and employees to ensure consistent HR program implementation.
  • Support site visits, employee activities, and HR initiatives.
  • Ensure HR documentation and processes are consistently implemented across locations.
  • Assist in rolling out company-wide HR programs across different sites.

IX. HR Projects & Process Improvement

  • Support HR projects and initiatives led by the HRBP or HR leadership.
  • Assist in documenting and improving HR processes.
  • Maintain HR forms, trackers, templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support HRIS implementation and system improvements.
  • Identify recurring administrative issues and recommend practical improvements.

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration,
    Management, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced, startup, technology, BPO, or operational environment.
  • Strong exposure to multiple HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management, HR operations, and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR practices.
  • Experience handling routine employee concerns and HR documentation.
  • Experience with employee databases.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Willing to support multiple locations and travel to company sites when required.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment.
