The Investor Reporting Investor Accounting Data Analytics is an entry-level position that combines financial analysis, data analytics, and technology to improve investor reporting operations. 

 

Through comprehensive training, you'll learn how mortgage servicing data flows through reporting systems while developing technical solutions that improve reporting accuracy, automate manual processes, and provide actionable business insights. 

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, writing SQL queries, solving complex problems, and continuously improving business processes. You'll work closely with Investor Reporting analysts, business leaders, and technology teams to transform data into meaningful information that supports operational excellence. 

 

Prior mortgage servicing experience is not required, we will teach you our business.

The main responsibilities of a INVESTOR REPORTING ACCOUNTING ANALYST (DA) include:

Responsibilities 

 

  • Learn the end-to-end investor reporting process and how financial data flows through mortgage servicing systems.  

  • Analyze reporting data to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for operational improvement.  

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to validate data, research issues, and support reporting activities.  

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts that support business decision-making.  

  • Research data discrepancies and recommend solutions to improve reporting accuracy.  

  • Assist in automating manual reporting processes using SQL and other analytical tools.  

  • Partner with business analysts and developers to support process improvement initiatives.  

  • Document business requirements and assist with solution design.  

  • Validate reporting enhancements through data analysis and testing.  

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Technical Skills 

 

  • SQL proficiency, including query development, stored procedures, and bulk data uploads. 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas)  

  • Ability to analyze large datasets  

  • Understanding of relational databases  

  • Strong mathematical and statistical reasoning  

  • Data visualization experience (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus  

  • Basic understanding of business process analysis  

  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is a plus

Qualifications 

 

Education Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Statistics, Data Analysis, Industrial Engineering, or a related analytical field preferred.  

 

Education Preferred 

  • Advanced degree highly preferred 

  • Experience with AI-driven processes or predictive analytics.  

 

Experience 

  • 2+ years of professional experience.  

  • Internship or academic experience in finance, accounting, banking, analytics, operations, or reporting is a plus 

  • Demonstrated ability in mathematical, statistical, financial, or economic-related analyses. 

  • Mortgage servicing experience is not required.
