The Investor Reporting Investor Accounting Analyst – Private Investors is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the accurate reporting and accounting of mortgage portfolios serviced for private investors. Through comprehensive training, you will learn to analyze financial data, prepare investor reports, reconcile portfolio activity, research exceptions, and ensure reporting is completed accurately and on time. 

 

Unlike standardized agency reporting, this role works closely with a variety of private investors, each with unique reporting requirements and business expectations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new processes, solving problems, and adapting to different client needs. 

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with numbers, and continuously learning new business processes in a collaborative environment. Prior mortgage servicing experience is not required, we will teach you our business.

The main responsibilities of a INVESTOR REPORTING ACCOUNTING ANALYST (PI) include:

Responsibilities 

 

  • Learn the reporting and accounting requirements for multiple private investor portfolios. 

  • Prepare, review, and validate investor reports customized to individual private investor requirements. 

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify reporting exceptions and discrepancies.  

  • Research and assist in resolving reporting, remittance, and reconciliation issues.  

  • Learn the unique reporting requirements, accounting rules, and servicing agreements for assigned private investor portfolios.  

  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams to ensure client-specific reporting expectations are consistently met.  

  • Adapt reporting processes as client requirements evolve. 

  • Support monthly reporting cycles and ensure reporting deadlines are consistently met.  

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established operating procedures.  

  • Assist in identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement.  

  • Collaborate with U.S.-based teammates and business partners to resolve reporting questions.  

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.  

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications 

 

Education Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a related analytical field preferred.  

 

Education Preferred 

  • Advanced degree highly preferred 

 

Experience 

  • 2+ years of professional experience.  

  • Internship or academic experience in finance, accounting, banking, analytics, operations, or reporting is a plus 

  • Mortgage servicing experience is not required.
