The Management Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis to support strategic decision-making. The role oversees management reporting, financial planning, cost analysis, and compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements while partnering with business leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

The main responsibilities of a MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT include:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyze revenue, operating expenses, profitability, and cost drivers to support informed business decisions.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational performance and profitability.
- Prepare financial projections and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives. Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs) and present actionable insights to management.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable
accounting standards. - Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring the accurate processing and recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger activities.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Maintain accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial controls, accounting processes, and finance operations.
Business Partnering & Cost Management
- Partner with department heads to support budgeting, financial planning, and cost management initiatives.
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Conduct profitability and cost analyses to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Support business cases, investment evaluations, and strategic projects through financial analysis.
- Provide financial guidance to support organizational growth and business objectives.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and review tax schedules and assist with statutory filings, including BIR and other government reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure supporting documentation is complete and readily available.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and recommend necessary process improvements.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred.
- At least 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in startups, SMEs, multinational companies, or shared services environments is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and management reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and Power BI is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
