Terabase Energy Inc is hiring a Project Accountant with expertise in Engineering and Construction Services. This position is critically important to recognize complex project deliverables and deadlines. This person should be working directly with Project Managers assisting in setting up projects and completion of project documentation for milestone billings and revenue recognition recording. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support and coordination of the accounting and finance operations and be willing to take on ad hoc projects as they come. It will involve internal and external client communications and be an intricate part of the Terabase Energy team.

The main responsibilities of a PROJECT ACCOUNTANT include:
- Generate customer invoices on a daily and monthly basis
- Track invoice payment statuses and manage Accounts Receivable aging schedules
- Proficient in preparing both Unconditional and Conditional Lien Waivers
- Prepare Solar Applications for monthly progress billings
- Collaborate with Project Managers to verify timesheets, labor hours, and expense reports
- Skilled in contract review to identify billing milestones and revenue recognition criteria
- Perform monthly revenue recognition for fixed-price, milestone-based, and percent-complete projects in the General Ledger
- Record Deferred and Accrued Revenue entries in the General Ledger
- Post Work in Progress (WIP) entries
- Conduct project performance analysis
- Assist in month-end financial close activities
- Prepare project dashboard reports including revenue and cost of goods sold (COGS) forecast variance analysis
- Provide audit support by submitting required documentation and clarifications to internal and external auditors
- Perform other financial and accounting tasks as needed
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related courses
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar project accounting or finance role
- Proven expertise in managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process in a shared services environment
- Knowledge of month-end close adjustments with a focus on US GAAP revenue recognition processes
- Experience with ERP Systems and MS Excel; preferably NetSuite
- Amenable to hybrid wok setup – 2 days in a week RTO schedule
