Make your next big career move by applying as KMC Solutions’ next PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager owns delivery governance across every Datahaus engagement. The role makes sure clients always know where their project stands, teams run a consistent scrum cadence, and project work never collides with live support.

They are the single point of truth for scope, status, risk and priority. Jira and Confluence are the system of record, and this role keeps them accurate.

On top of your salary, here are the exciting benefits you can look forward to:

The main responsibilities of a PROJECT MANAGER include:

Key responsibilities

1. Project governance (Jira and Confluence)

  • Define and maintain a standard Jira setup across all Datahaus projects: project templates, issue types, workflows, boards and naming conventions.

  • Own the Confluence structure for each engagement: project charter, scope, decision log, RAID register, meeting notes and release notes.

  • Run monthly governance health checks and close gaps in documentation or process.

2. External client reporting

  • Produce status reports for each client: progress, burn, upcoming milestones, risks, issues and decisions needed.

  • Run fortnightly or monthly steering meetings and own the agenda, minutes and actions.

  • Track budget versus actuals and flag variance early, before it becomes a commercial conversation.

  • Be the day-to-day client contact for delivery matters, escalating commercial and relationship issues to the CTO.

  • Report SLA and incident performance for clients covered by Datahaus support.

3. Scrum delivery

  • Act as Scrum Master for Datahaus project teams: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.

  • Work with product owners and client stakeholders to keep backlogs prioritised, refined and ready two sprints ahead.

  • Track velocity, sprint commitment versus delivery, and cycle time, and act on trends.

  • Remove blockers and coach teams on agile practice without slowing delivery down.

  • Keep cadence consistent across projects so engineers can move between teams without relearning process.

4. Ops and support prioritisation

  • Run a single intake and triage process for support requests across all Datahaus clients.

  • Set and apply clear priority rules (P1–P4) tied to client SLAs, including protection of critical windows such as daily payment processing.

  • Balance capacity between the 24×7 ops roster and the business-hours project team so support load does not derail sprint commitments.

  • Coordinate the ops roster with the ops lead to ensure coverage, handovers and on-call escalation paths are documented and followed.

  • Run post-incident reviews for P1/P2 incidents and track corrective actions to closure.

  • Hold a weekly cross-team priority meeting to resolve contention between project work and support work.

First 90 days: audit all active projects, roll out the standard Jira and Confluence templates, and stand up the weekly priority meeting and client status reports.

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

Skills, experience and qualifications

Essential

  • 4+ years as a project manager or delivery lead in a software consultancy, agency or managed services provider.

  • Hands-on Scrum Master experience running multiple teams at once.

  • Strong Jira and Confluence administration: workflows, boards, dashboards, templates and permissions.

  • Proven experience reporting directly to external clients, including steering committees.

  • Experience balancing project delivery against BAU or support load, ideally with SLA-based support.

  • Clear, concise written communication. Can turn a messy situation into a one-page status.

Desirable

  • Certification such as PSM I/II, CSM, PMP or PRINCE2.

  • Background in fintech, financial services or regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with ITIL incident and problem management.

  • Experience with cloud and data platform projects (AWS, data engineering, AI).

  • Jira Service Management experience.

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

Attributes

  • Calm under pressure and decisive when priorities clash.

  • Comfortable holding the line with clients and senior stakeholders on scope.

  • Process-minded but pragmatic. Adds structure that speeds teams up, not paperwork.
