A working manager responsible for compiling and preparing monthly financial statements to management including supervising accounting staff in daily operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue, and asset accounting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversees the calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting records; ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger;
- Ensures all analysis and reporting are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures;
- Monitors changes in accounting standards, preparing regulatory filings, and staying informed about industry-specific regulations
- Contributes to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- This includes evaluating and improving internal financial controls, recommending policy changes, and ensuring adherence to established policies.
- Establishes and implements productivity and quality standards;
- Identifies opportunities to improve accounting systems and processes;
- This may involve implementing new accounting software, automating manual tasks, and streamlining workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare and oversees the transactions of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recording of financial transactions;
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations;
- Implement and monitor control procedures, perform periodic internal audits, and address any control deficiencies. Provide requested information for external audits
- Works closely with local tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- This includes assisting in preparation and filing of tax returns, managing tax payments, and staying up to date with changes in tax legislation.
- Collaborates with internal and external auditors during financial audits;
- Provide requested documentation, address audit findings, and implement recommended improvements to financial processes and controls
- Compile information from other departments to prepare and complete the Budget
