Acts as the single point of contact for customer Business-to-Business (B2B) integration or special IT needs.  Responsible for project management and execution of B2B projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine the best solution applicable.  Identifies gaps that could require process change or investment.  Facilitates scope/quote development and secures funding disposition from BU/Sales. Manages communication with stakeholders on coming business requiring B2B enablement and provides regular updates to Sales and Account Teams.

The main responsibilities of a JAPANESE SPEAKING PROJECT MANAGER include:

  • Responsible for IT project management and execution of B2B projects from initiate thru post deploy, which include internal or global customer projects.
  • Working within Amkor Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, enter/maintain project information for each phase, monitor/maintain dates and facilitate approvals.
  • Participate in and/or lead project kick-off meetings
  • Collect and clarify requirements, align to system capabilities, identify potential gaps and develop the project objectives/scope, create high-level project timeline, facilitate scope/quote development, and secure funding disposition from the business unit (BU).
  • Document functional requirements for review with technical teams and facilitate solution design. Work with developers to verify unit test and integration test results.
  • Align with business stakeholders on business related tasks and/or process changes that are required to support the deliverables.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with technical and business stakeholders, keep tasks on track, address issues, and prevent delays.  Publish meeting minutes and action items. Follow-up on action items to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Develop test plans and scenarios to validate requirements during user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Facilitate UAT testing and approval to ensure the solution met the expected results.
  • Develop a go-live plan, and facilitate deployments and migration cut-over activities. 
  • Monitor post-deployment results, facilitate hand-over to production support, and collect/document lessons learned.
  • Manage program changes, enhancements, and fixes to address technical or requirements defects. 
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities
  • Publish monthly and quarterly management reports to Sales EVP, RVP, and Account Teams
  • Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time by the superior. 
     
     

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

  • Engineering or Computer Science Graduate with knowledge in Information Technology/Computer Software, Manufacturing
  • Operating Procedures, and Equipment Operating principles and Communication Interface 
  • Must be fluent in Japanese language (both written and oral) 
  • Must be assertive with strong verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to negotiate requirements and/or project timelines.  
  • Experience working with customers and end-users is preferred   
  • Semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing experience is preferred  
  • Certified PMP® or similar project management is preferred but not required  
  • Minimum of 5 years managing IT projects
