We are looking for an experienced and proactive Server and Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining both on-premises servers and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems while optimizing resource use and supporting our customer environments.
This position requires a skilled problem-solver who can manage infrastructure in both physical and virtual environments, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to a secure, scalable IT foundation.
Working in a hybrid team requires a combination of solo and team-based working, communication is critical, you must be strong and proactive communicator who can take the lead in technical conversations with colleagues and customers, ensuring that stakeholders are always fully informed.
Attention to detail is key, the successful candidate will ensure that information provided is of good quality and communicate clearly when there are issues, they will be proactive in seeking clarity with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.
About the role
The role of Project Engineer is responsible for a range of the core business activities including but not limited to:
- Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring reliable operation and high availability.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud solutions that align with business needs and ensure seamless performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols for both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Automation and Optimization: Develop scripts and use tools to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server and cloud-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system health, usage, and performance, and recommend improvements to meet scalability and cost goals.
- Hybrid Integration: Assist in the integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments.
- This role will be required to handle confidential information and/or sensitive data in a professional manner and in line with existing Company processes and policies.
- This role will require working out of hours on an occasional basis and participation in an on-call rota.

The main responsibilities of a PROJECT ENGINEER – SERVER & CLOUD include:
- Designing and commissioning solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
- Ensuring the effective operation of the company and customers systems, ensuring that work is completed within line with the service level agreements and operational level agreements in place.
- Ensure that changes are always logged in accordance with the Bedroq change management process. In addition, following customer change management processes where required.
- Provision storage capacity from the company storage arrays to fulfil customer and business needs and configure and ensure that they are operational.
- Provision and commission hardware against business requirements and ensure that they are configured in a secure manner.
- Deploy and commission virtual resources as required to ensure customer orders are completed within an acceptable time frame against OLAs
- Document implemented solutions and designs in the company configuration management systems to reflect the actual deployments, ensure that all password is recorded in the company’s password management systems.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Technical understanding of current and emerging IT technologies including Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud services.
- Good knowledge of customer needs and the ability to translate these into project deliverables.
- Working practical experience in a customer facing managed service role.
- Proven track record of ensuring delivery of projects and services on time and within time budget.
- Working practical experience with installation and advanced configuration of both Windows and Linux OS.
- Working practical experience with configuration and administration of server applications and security.
- Working practical experience with supporting complex medium / large scale IT projects.
- Worked with an enterprise managed cloud provider.
- The role requires the candidate to have a good awareness of a wide range of IT and related technologies.
- Practical working experience working with network service such as DNS, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP.
It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:
- You have an excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- 4+ year working experience in an IT operations role at an MSP.
- You will work on own initiative with minimum supervision. You will not wait for people to tell you what to do.
- You will be proactive in your communication to customers and colleagues. As you’ll be working across different time zones, you will need to maintain good communication habits with your virtual team and customers.
- You will be happy to work in the office so you can collaborate and share your knowledge with more junior team members or work on escalations in partnership with Service Desk.
- You will be used to working to deliver customer outcomes to specific timescales
- You are an enthusiastic, driven and committed with a flexible approach to work – you might need to flex your working hours to fit a project.
- You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You are an excellent communicator, able to transmit and receive information clearly and precisely through both spoken and written English.
- You think logically with a consistent methodology and approach to problem solving.
- You have a keen interest in and are passionate about IT. You will enjoy learning new technologies on the job.
- You will have a minimum Degree level or equivalent in IT, Computer Science or similar discipline.
The successful candidate must submit the following pre-employment requirements
- Scanned copy of valid NBI Clearance
- Accomplished Medical or PEME Slip (covered by KMC)
- 2x2 & Half body picture with white background
- Proof of government numbers (TIN, SSS, Pag-ibig, & Philhealth)
- Photocopy of 2 valid IDs – front & back (government-issued)
- Clear copy of your Birth Certificate (PSA or NSO)
