The primary role of the Purchasing Agent is to support the operations department by efficiently managing and processing purchase requisitions, ensuring that all supplies, materials, and equipment needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The main responsibilities of a PURCHASING AGENT include:

  • Office – Processes and submits paperwork, creates and maintains organized files, identifies and resolves any discrepancies in files and records in a timely manner. Reports incorrect or inefficient office processes. Uses office equipment supplies correctly. Judgment – Uses procedures, and/or guides to make good choices. Uses data and facts in order to make day-to-day decisions and involves others as needed. Recognizes what might be a problem and informs those who can correct it. Execution and Results – Ensures work is completed correctly. Works on top priorities first. Makes a consistent effort to get results. Meets deadlines. Takes action in order to solve problems so work can be completed in a timely manner. Planning and Improvement – Accepts responsibility and meets expectations for own work. Identifies steps needed in order to carry out work as required. Influence and communicate – Listens to others and asks questions to learn about what is needed.
  • Communicates the right information to co-workers when they need it. Communicates in a respectful and professional manner. Ethics and Compliance – Shows integrity and ethical behavior in al work situations. Reports ethical and compliance issues promptly. Adaptability – Adapts to changing work demands. Stays focused on own work when faced with change or difficulties. Stays open to and learn from assignments and feedback

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
  • Proficient in Excel and Word (Microsoft Dynamic Preferred) Types 50 Words Per Minute 

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

  • Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands Visua ly verifies information, often in sma l print. Reads information, often in smal print. Enters and locates information on a computer. Creates documents, reports, etc., using a writing instrument (such as a pencil or pen) or computer. Communicates effectively in person or by using telecommunications equipment. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

The successful candidate must submit the following pre-employment requirements

  • Scanned copy of valid NBI Clearance
  • Accomplished Medical or PEME Slip (covered by KMC)
  • 2x2 & Half body picture with white background
  • Proof of government numbers (TIN, SSS, Pag-ibig, & Philhealth)
  • Photocopy of 2 valid IDs – front & back (government-issued)
  • Clear copy of your Birth Certificate (PSA or NSO)
  • Accomplished HR Forms & Promissory Note (will be provided by KMC’s Onboarding Team
