About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Lead with 4–8 years of experience in testing web and mobile applications, preferably within healthcare, pharma, or regulated environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through robust manual and automated testing practices, leading QA initiatives, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in QA testing for web and mobile applications, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or regulated software environments.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Defect Life Cycle.
- Solid knowledge of testing concepts, testing techniques, and various levels/types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, compatibility, and performance testing.
- Strong expertise in manual testing with exposure to automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or TestRail.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of validation processes and compliance standards within GxP or regulated environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading QA teams or mentoring junior testers.
- Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards, compliance, or digital health platforms is a plus.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent are advantageous.
The main responsibilities of a QA LEAD include:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities for web and mobile applications across functionality, usability, performance, security, compatibility, and data integrity.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute detailed manual and automated test cases based on business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive QA artifacts including test plans, test scenarios, test cases, traceability matrices, test reports, and UAT documentation.
- Identify, log, track, prioritize, and support resolution of defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or TestRail.
- Collaborate with development teams to perform root cause analysis and ensure timely defect resolution.
- Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and support performance testing activities using JMeter or equivalent tools.
- Drive automation testing initiatives using Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Regulatory teams to embed quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Support release readiness activities and ensure high-quality product deployments.
