The main responsibilities of a SENIOR SPECIALIST - ACCOUNTING include:

  1. Financial Reporting and Close Process
  • Lead or actively participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for management
  1. General Ledger Management
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger system
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual balances
  • Ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions
  1. Reconciliation and Compliance
  • Perform and review account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and company policies
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
  • Monitor adherence to internal controls and SOX requirements (if applicable)
  1. Process Improvement and Automation
  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommend improvements
  • Participate in or lead system implementations and enhancements
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency
  1. Intercompany and Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., AP, AR, Treasury, FP&A)
  • Collaborate with MSO or market finance team
  • Ensure alignment of financial data across business units
  1. Technical Accounting Support
  • Research and apply accounting standards and policies
  • Provide guidance on complex transactions or new business activities
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to implementation of new accounting standards
  1. Team Support and Leadership
  • Provide guidance and review work of junior accountants or analysts
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members
  • Help ensure team deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Act as a backup or escalation point for accounting issues

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite
  • Familiarity with internal controls and audit procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Photocopy of 2 valid IDs – front & back (government-issued)
  • Clear copy of your Birth Certificate (PSA or NSO)
  • Accomplished HR Forms & Promissory Note (will be provided by KMC’s Onboarding Team
